Information we handle

Information you provide. Regular users are not asked to provide any personal information. Only mosque administrators sign in (with an email address and password managed by Google Firebase Authentication) in order to add or edit events; this is limited to authorised staff.

Information collected automatically by third parties. When you use the app, the following Google services may collect technical information such as a device or advertising identifier, device type and operating system, general (non-precise) location inferred from your IP address, and app-interaction data:

• Google AdMob — to display adverts. The app requests non-personalised adverts, which limits the data used for ad targeting. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
• Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, and Firebase services) — to deliver and sync community events and to operate the app. See Firebase Privacy and Security.

These providers act as independent controllers of the data they collect and process it under Google's Privacy Policy.

Notifications

If you turn on prayer notifications, reminders are scheduled and shown on your device. This does not send your data to us. If we introduce announcement notifications in future, this policy will be updated to describe how notification tokens are handled.

How the information is used

• To operate core features (prayer times, events, settings).
• To display adverts that help fund the app and the masjid.
• To keep the app secure and working correctly.

Children

The app is intended for the general community and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Adverts are requested on a non-personalised basis.

Data retention

We do not maintain personal user profiles. Event content created by administrators is retained in Firebase until it is deleted by an administrator. Data collected by Google (AdMob/Firebase) is retained according to Google's policies.

Your rights

Depending on your location (including under UK GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data, or to object to certain processing.
